Teaching
For me, teaching is a true joy. The real treat is when a student begins to ask deeper questions. This is to say when someone wants to know not only the what but more importantly the how and why. When students make deeper connections they become more apt to understand and hence be able to solve today's challenging problems.
Research Interests
- Machine learning and Deep learning
- Big Data and Data mining
- Computer Science Education and Educational Technology
I work to make meaningful sense out of large amounts of data. This is accomplished using machine learning, data mining and a variety of high performance computing frameworks. I am particularly interested in Educational and Biological data.
